For the independent who works for four companies at once

Your book of business. Not a text field.

You do not have customers in the abstract — you are contracted by companies. Operators, mineral buyers, law firms, land brokerages. Clients makes each one a real record, keeps the history of what you ran for them, and decides exactly what each one is allowed to see.

What it does

From a client name typed on a project to a relationship you can read.

Every project already carries the company it was run for. Clients promotes that to a record: the company, what kind of shop it is, the person you actually call, and your own private notes. The engagement history underneath it — how many projects, how many tracts, when you last worked for them — is derived from work already in the platform, so nothing is hand-entered and nothing goes stale. Then sharing: a client sees a project only because you shared that project, at the level you chose, and you can take it back.

Where it stands

Clients is shipping soon — the client book is being built now, and it is not something you can work in today. It is a module of the one Landspect seat, never a separate purchase; every seat gets it when it ships. Free for 7 days. No card to start. Run real tracts, plot real deeds. Exports unlock when you subscribe.

  • A record, not a string

One row per company that hires you — operator, mineral buyer, law firm, land brokerage, midstream — with the primary contact and notes only you ever see.

  • History you never type

Projects run, tracts worked, and when you last worked for them, read straight off the work already in the platform. Nothing is hand-entered, so nothing can go stale.

  • Sharing is a decision

A client sees nothing until you share a specific project with them. There is no default visibility and no bulk switch — the share is an act, and it records who made it and when.

  • Metadata or deliverables

Choose the level when you share: the project at arm's length, or the finished work product. The narrower level is the default, so a share made carelessly hands over less, not more.

  • Revoke without losing the record

Pulling a share back is a revocation, not a deletion. What you shared, with whom, and when it stopped stays on the record.

  • Your book stays yours

Your client list is private to your workspace, not an entry in a shared directory. Clients are archived, never deleted, so history survives the relationship.
